Benicia Candlelight Walk for Peace & Unity
You are warmly invited to join us for a peaceful community candlelight walk.
Sunday, March 1, 2026, 6:00 PM, 1st Street Gazebo in Benicia.
Please arrive by 5:45 PM so we can begin shortly after 6:00.
We will gather to write wishes for peace, then walk together to the water and back, creating space for reflection, connection, and shared intention for peace and unity in our community. Participants are invited to leave their wishes for peace on the Capitol building fence.
At a time when many are experiencing uncertainty and division, this walk offers a simple, meaningful way to come together and remember our shared humanity.
This is a family- and dog-friendly event.
Electric candles are encouraged.
You are welcome to bring a sign featuring a favorite peace quote.

This event is being sponsored by GROK the World, a local Benicia business that creates interactive card games, books, and tools designed to foster connection, empathy, and emotional intelligence based on Nonviolent Communication (NVC) principles. Co-owned by Mary Goyer and Claire Schwartz, these products help individuals, families, and groups identify feelings and needs, resolve conflicts, and enhance communication.
