We’ve hosted many GROK Parties as stand-alone NVC introductions.
People love diving into NVC in a super low-stakes, gamified, and laughter-filled way.
Kick-offs - (Supports Growth, Interdependence and a warm hello for groups)
Start your multi-day event with fireworks! GROK Parties make for a great pre-event before you jump into your main programming. Participants will get a playful introduction to key concepts that will be reinforced in your workshop(s). Plus - when even a fraction of folks have had a chance to play together before your event, it makes creating the container a breeze.
Wrap-ups - (Supports Joy, Integration, and a soft goodbye for groups)
End your event with a bonus (virtual) gathering after everyone has gone home. Folks will love having the chance to catch up and connect with each other after the core programming has been completed. Beginners will have an opportunity to revisit and practice the basics. But even the more advanced practitioners will have fun joining to explore NVC in this playful way.
What to Expect
- Our GROK Facilitators will greet participants on Zoom event and set up all the logistics - including providing options for F/N cards or a F/N list to use during the party.
- After a short intro and invitation to connect, the group will play a number of GROK games together, developing Feelings and Needs fluency.
- Once several short-form games have wrapped up, we’ll move to the portion of the party where folks learn an abridged version of Empathy Poker, grounded in the fundamentals of NVC Empathy - which beautifully sets the stage for ongoing Empathy Pairings/Groups, if desired.

We’ll showcase a few of the GROK products that folks might be interested in exploring if, for example, they want to share NVC with their kiddos or colleagues at work - and we’re usually happy to oer a little bonus discount to your group, if negotiated ahead of time. (Alternately, if you have an affliate account with us, we can direct folks to use your link for any shopping they want to do.)
Do group leaders attend?
It's totally up to you if you want to personally attend your group’s GROK party. If you do show up to connect and play, you won’t need your facilitator hat. Just sit back and party.
